Our services
The Emotional Health and Wellbeing Practitioners (EHWP) Team services include:
Who you will see and speak to
Emotional Health and Wellbeing Practitioners will provide consultations to professionals, staff training and mental health forums.
Emotional Health and Wellbeing Team Lead will lead the EHWP Team and local service briefings. They provide more specialist support for complex case consultations and work closely with our partner agencies.
Consultations
We offer 30-minute consultations for when you have concerns about the emotional wellbeing of a child or young person. These consultations are a safe space for you to discuss your concerns with an experienced practitioner. Our practitioners can then:
-
- guide you through your potential next steps
- signpost you to relevant information and resources
- advise you on how to best use the information and resources with the child or young person
It is often unlikely that a referral to another service will be needed. If it is needed, we will advise on which service is the most appropriate.
Contact ccs.ehw@nhs.net for a 30 minute consultation.
Staff training
We offer staff training to educational settings. We can offer training face-to-face in your school or virtually. Groups for training can be up to 20 staff members. If, for whatever reason, not all staff members are able to attend the session, we can provide more than one session.
We also offer staff support sessions for small groups of educational staff. These will be facilitated by the Emotional Health and Wellbeing Practitioner Team.

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough local services briefing webinars
The Cambridgeshire local services briefing webinars are hosted by the EHWP Team. Local children's and young people's emotional and mental health services and organisations are invited to present to professionals in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
These webinars are to enable professionals to understand the local services that are available to the children and young people they work with. Presenters will explain their service, when to refer a child or young person and how to refer them to the service. After each presentation from the local service, there will be an opportunity for a Q&A session.
Each webinar will be recorded, including Q&A sessions. These recordings will be sent to attendees and included in our newsletter.
These webinars are open to professionals that work directly with children and young people in the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough area such as school staff, health workers and social care workers.
The webinars will be held online 4 times a year.
