Using a self-weigh station
- Before using the scales, ensure you wipe them using the blue/white roll provided.
- Ask your child/young person to remove their shoes and any heavy clothing (for example, jumpers).
- Have your child/young person to stand with both feet on the middle of the scales. Ask them to keep as still as possible. Make sure they are not holding onto you or anything else.
- Take a note of the weight. Record the weight in kilograms to the first decimal place (for example, 17.4kg).
- Ask your child to step off the scales. Clean the scales with the antibacterial wipes or spray provided and put the rubbish in the bin.
If you have concerns about your child's height, you can contact us for advice.
