This service is for children and young people living in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. 

Where to get help in a crisis

If you, or a child or young person that you know, are experiencing a mental health crisis, call NHS 111 and select the mental health option to speak to an NHS professional.

Mental Health Support Team

Make a referral

Before making a referral, please check that your school is covered by the Mental Health Support Team. If your school is not listed, please visit YOUnited - CPFT NHS Trust to complete the referral.


We accept referrals from young people, parents, carers and professionals.

  • Young people can complete this form if they are looking for support around worries or low mood and you attend an MHST (Mental Health Support Team) school.
  • Parents, carers and professionals can complete this form for a primary school aged child experiencing fears/worries/behavioural difficulties, or a secondary school aged young person experiencing worry and/or low mood.

If the difficulty is around something else, or you/they do not attend a school supported by MHST, please complete a referral form to YOUnited.
