Postural management
Postural management is a 24 hour a day approach. It supports straight posture and keeps this straight posture in different positions such as sitting, lying and standing.
Standing frames
A standing equipment is a piece of equipment to support a child to stand in their best straight (symmetrical) position. It can help with breathing, sleep, circulation, digestion and lots more.
Specialist supportive seating
Specialist support seating provides a safe and comfortable sitting position for children and young people who cannot maintain a straight (symmetrical) upright position on their own. It can help prevent contractures and spinal deformities, reduction of pressure sores and better head position.
Sleep systems
Good postural management whilst in bed at night can be as important as that done in the daytime. Sleep systems, used with the right children and young people, can help to reduce the risk of long-term harmful changes to the body.
